Registration

Online registration for the 10th Annual Poppy Walk is now open – click the Registration button in the sidebar to get started!

You can also register by filling out a paper registration form, which will soon be available at the following locations:

• The Peg Taylor Center, 124 Parmac Road, Chico CA 95926 (near the DMV & Chico Sports Club)
• Fleet Feet, 241 Main Street, Chico

Finally, you can register on race day — just stop  by the registration table between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m.

Please note that event t-shirts are guaranteed only for participants who register on or before March 25th, 2020.

Packet Pick Up

Once you’ve registered, you are encouraged to pick up your packet (including your t-shirt!) in advance. Packet Pick-Up will take place at Fleet Feet,  from 10 AM – 6:00 PM,  on Friday, April 17th, 2020.

If you do not wish to pick up your race materials early, stop by the packet pick-up table on Race Day between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m., at the One Mile picnic area.

Pre-registered by March 25:
5K Timed Runners   $30
5K Non-Timed Runner   $25
1 Mile Walk, Non-Timed   $25

After March 25, including Race Day:
5K Timed Runners   $35
5K Non-Timed Runner   $30
1 Mile Walk, Non-Timed   $30

Please note that entry fees are non-transferable & non-refundable. All proceeds from the Poppy Walk go directly to benefit our participants.

Weather

Please note that in the event of severe weather, such as would merit a park closure, notification that the Walk/Run has been cancelled will be posted here, on the Raceplanner registration page, and also e-mailed to registered participants. (Please note that all registration fees are non-refundable.) In the event of normal weather, however, we’ll be there rain or shine! 

Waiver

Please read through the waiver before registering for the Poppy Walk & 5k Run.

In consideration of your accepting this entry, I, intending to be legally bound hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims that I may have against the persons and organizations affiliated with this race: Innovative Health Care Services, Peg Taylor Center for Adult Day Health Care, FleetFeet Chico, LLC, Under The Sun Events, the City of Chico, County of Butte, and State of California and all other contributing organizations; and assign for any and all injuries suffered by me while traveling to or from or while competing in the Poppy Walk & 5K Run, held on Saturday, April 18th, 2020. I further attest that I am physically fit and have trained for this event.

If registering another participant besides myself, I certify that I have been given the authority by said participant to register on their behalf.
